About Glen Innes
Glen Innes is situated in the Northern Tablelands of the New England region in NSW. It is located at the intersection of the New England and Gwydir Highways, approximately half way between Brisbane & Sydney and a short two-hour drive to the Coast.
Glen Innes can be very chilly in winter! Summers are mild and winters are cold with regular frosts and the occasional snowfalls. Temperatures can fall as low as -12 degrees and the highest temperature recorded was 37 degrees (however this is rare!).
Things to do in Glen Innes include: fishing; fossicking; and exploring the gorgeous National Parks around the area.
Annual events and festivals in Glen Innes include the: Australian Celtic Festival; Minerama; Land of the Beardies Festival; Glen Innes Show and Glen Innes Races (among other smaller events).
